Literacy Focus

This week in literacy, the class are learning about healthy food. They will be sorting foods into healthy and unhealthy.

They will be drawing and labelling their own healthy plate.

Talking about what food we can eat all the time and what foods are as a treat and to be eaten occasionally.

Writing a menu for the Healthy Café in the classroom.

The children liked this story we had in our lesson today.

There are lots of songs on YouTube for heathy eating that we will be singing along to this week.

Maths focus

This week in Maths, the children will be learning about time using analogue and digital clocks.

We will start off learning about O'clock, then go onto half past by the end of the week and matching analogue and digital times.

Here are some links for songs and a story about time.

On Friday we had our first school disco, we had a fantastic turnout of children and parents.

The evening was a great success, everyone including myself had a super time.

We are planning another as it was so successful, in May.

I will let you all know the date when we have decided.

PE Lesson

This term in PE we are doing Gymnastics.

Today was their first lesson using the equipment.

They had so much fun climbing, crawling, balancing, etc.

Maths Focus

This week in Maths the children will be recapping on 1 more, 1 less and ordering numbers.

The children were assessed before we broke up for the Easter break, so there are new groups within RWI.

Group 1: Blending and segmenting for reading and writing.

Group 2: Ditty Group

Group 3: Green Group
